Since my victory in Paris (see my previous blog about getting my beautiful Cupacine Clemence Birkin, I got hungry for more! My next stop was Monte Carlo and I know there’s an Hermes store there, just needed to do some research on how to get one!
My first stop was a thread on Purse Forum. There was a lot of information and if you were as dedicated as me, you’d see that the Monte Carlo exclusive silk scarf is just as tempting! There was a lot of confusing tips and advice so I decided to just go and ask. The walk to the store near the Grand Casino was nice and scenic. The store is located near the water, sitting on a section of the Monaco F1 track.
If you need more reason for why a Hermes scarf is so special, here is an entire article about it by Rich Girls Club . I’m a Hermes scarf lover because I think each scarf tells as story. According to Wikipedia, an Hermes scarf is sold every 25 seconds somewhere in the world!
We wandered around the store a bit before a SA became available to help us. First things first, I asked if they have Birkins or Kellys and the lady was super nice in telling me that they didn’t receive any shipment this week. Next, I asked if they had the Monte Carlo exclusive scarf. The one I wanted was red but the store only had a dark blue and a light blue version. I took both, one for me and one for my mom!
This is what the light blue version of the scarf looks like. It features the Societe de Bain de Mer which is the largest employer and leading entertainment and hospitality company in Monaco and emblem and many other symbolic images of Monaco! It’s definitely the perfect souvenir for my first trip to the sovereign nation.
